WP4 - Big data analysis of the gut microbiome
OverviewObjectives: Explore the association between gut microbiota, community diversity, structure and function, host metabolic phenotype and metabolic pathways. Model the association between microbial communities and metabolic disease state, by integrating meta-omic datasets in novel ways. Develop a framework for estimating microbial persistence and colonisation probabilities (MPCP) in the human gut microbiome from longitudinal data. Develop a computational pipeline for identifying bacterial gene clusters and phages for targeted microbiome manipulation.
